Find tips for cleaning the exterior of your motorhome or recreational vehicle.  Guarantee RV provides maintenance tips for owner's of new and used motorhomes and RVs.  Throughout your travels one thing is for certain, you can never find a good car wash when you need one.  Having said that there are many tips and tricks that can be used for cleaning the exterior of your motorhome or RV.  Here are just a few:
  • When cleaning your RV start from the roof and work down.  This will prevent any streaking from occuring on the lower portion of the exterior
  • Use warm water not hot when cleaning the exterior of your motorhome or RV.  Hot water can discolor and/or fade the paint
  • You can use rubbing alochol for cleaning streaks on windows.  Let dry and then rinse with soap and water afterwards
  • You can use WD40 for cleaning off bugs, tar or mud  from the lower portion of the RV.  Wash off with soap and water afterwards
  • You can use model paint or wax crayons for touch up on scratches
  • Scrub tires with water and soap using a wire brush.  This will help keep tires looking new.  You can even add certain waxes to the tires to give them a bright shine to them
  • Wash your RV regularly with a good wash and wax product.  Always try a sample area to determine if the product does not streak, discolor or cause the gloss to be removed
